While reading this book, I realised I'm not a fan of Garber's works, especially the Caraval trilogy. The second book is written from Tella's point of view with very little mention of the other sister, Scarlett. The lack of conversation, poor explanations on some details and making it very predictable specifically towards the ending chapters of the book, made me like this less than I expected. The characters' development was somehow better portrayed in this one, still I figured out the identity of Legend within reading the first few chapters of the book. The ending wouldn't hook the reader to proceed with the third one, but if I ever decide to read the book, it will only be for what happened in the end. I cannot say I enjoyed reading it, for I didn't truly. But I guess I would have read it anyway, because everyone talks of this book in the fantasy reading community and I'd definitely wanted to know what this is about.
