The Voyage Out (The Virginia Woolf Library)
In the book "A Room of One's Own" Virginia Woolf writes about gaining one's freedom and independence by having a room to one's self to have the option to be locked up in, but in "The Voyage Out" she writes about getting that freedom by exploring and experiencing the world.

so,

What if you were someone with high potentials who's been locked up and homestudied in a house with your aunts who know nothing about women's rights or how to educate them whatsoever?

Virginia Woolf tries to write about this notion using her amazing prose and using her signature style of stream of consciousness. This style of hers ables her to to tackle human emotions, thoughts and reactions without having to use a plot. She lets you become aware of the most personal thoughts of her characters and she lets you feel close to them and in the end she lets you to be the judge of everything that happened.

She not only does all of this but somehow manages to put in a lot of intellectual discourses about important matters from politics to women's rights and the state of society of that time in her first novel!

All of this and so much more makes this my favourite book of the year and makes Virginia Woolf officialy as my second favourite author of all time.

I can't form a coherent sentence to express why her work feels so personal and distinctive to me; all I can do is to just keep on reading her works and thank the universe for blessing us with this unique mind of hers.
