This book is about Celaena's life before Dorian saves her a** from Endovier and we meet a lot of new people, but the most important part for me was Celaena and Sam's relationship. 
I personally expected to read so much more about their relationship but my expectations were so high in this case since Sarah J Maas didn't put her focus only on their relationship (expect the last part of the book). 
All in all, I fell even more in love with the characters and am happy to finally be done with this beauty, because it had been on my TBR for forever.
