        A book for people who feel paused. 

granted that I'm only 20 years old(eleven years younger than the main character) I have felt behind in life more than once. I had the feeling that everyone except me has their life figured out and are on the right track several times. Just like Casey, our protagonist. 

By looking at the synopsis you may think this is just another book talking about grief and being in love and writing a book. Although if you've been through the process of griefing some parts of the story can be really relatable but all in all it's just a story about a thirty something year old woman trying her best to figure life out and trying to make things happen for her. She's working so hard to pursue her dream, to make relationships work and to not settle for anything below her standards and I think if done well this notion can be relatable to so many of us. And Lily Kings executes this concept SO DAMN WELL. Which makes me wonder, how much of this is autobiographical? 

I believe this book is so well written (with some minor flaws in the ending) that anybody can take something away from it. No matter what you're going through, losing someone, being in debt or ultimately just feeling lost in life, Writers and Lover has so much to offer to you.
