Lana's poetry is filled with everyday life, and her everyday life seems to be more poetic than the concept of poetry itself. "My life is my poetry, my lovemaking is my legacy", as she herself puts it in one of her poems. This book, like her music, is an exploration of passion and grief, of diamonds and neon ligts and tired mornings, and of living and of death, and of remembering young love, and of art and of humanity.
